AIELLO, Anthony J. March 2, 2023. Age 89. Beloved husband of the late Linda. Loving father of Lisa Marie Nett, Allison (Joseph) Komjathy, Jennifer (Jarek) Jatel and the late Christopher Helwig. Adored grandfather of Jacob, Caleb, Cayla, Madisen, Emma and Nathan. Dearest brother of Giovanena (the late John) Jonske and the late Katerina (the late Tom) Maruszewski.
Anthony, fondly known as "Tony", was a family man and an incredible father, husband, and grandfather. His positive personality was unmatched by his quiet and gentle demeanor. He always had a smile for everyone he saw and was our biggest cheerleader and supporter. He served his country while in the U.S. Army, and he worked hard for many years before finally retiring in 2016 at the age of 83. Some of the things that he loved was listening to Frank Sinatra, sleeping in and cannolis.
A special thank you to Joanne and the staff at Lakeshore Foster Care Home for their loving care these past few years and their unyielding support during his final days. We couldn't have asked for a more wonderful family to take care of our father.
Visitation Monday 3-8pm at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc. 36900 Schoenherr at Metro Parkway (16 Mile). Instate 9am until the time of the 9:30am Mass at St Rene Goupil Catholic Parish, 35955 Ryan Rd, Sterling Heights. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial donations appreciated to the Alzheimer's Association or Susan G. Komen. Please share memories with the family at their "On-Line Guestbook" at WujekCalcaterra.com
