Albina Cybowicz

With hearts full of love and memories held dear, we announce the passing of Albina Cybowicz. Albina was born on March 8, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan. She passed away on August 4, 2025.

Albina worked for Commercial Carriers and Thibodeau-Finch Express Company throughout her career. Her dedication and engagement with her coworkers always exhibited her positive value of professionalism.

She enjoyed worldwide travel, reading novels, crafting classes, and her passion for gardening. She took great pride in taking care of her 18 backyard rosebushes and her famous pear tree. She was proud of her Polish heritage and enjoyed Polish cuisine and Polish festivals.

Albina held her Catholic faith close to her heart, living out the values of her religious beliefs. Her daily rosary was a lifelong commitment, along with weekly mass. She was blessed to see Saint John Paul II in Hamtramck and met Blessed Solanus Casey while he served as a porter in Detroit.

Albina took great pride and joy in her family. She was a loving aunt possessing the positive qualities of kindness, humor, wisdom, laughter, wit, humbleness, resilience, and a compassionate heart. She was an essential piece of every family event and milestone.

She is survived by her nieces Sharon (the late James), Donna, and Julia, great niece Breanne (Bret), great nephews Eric (Jill) and Scott (Morgan).

She is predeceased by her niece Diana, nephew Gary, and great niece Julie.

Funeral Mass Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 10:00am with Instate at 9:30am at St. Ephrem Catholic Church, 38900 Dodge Park, Sterling Heights, MI. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery.
