Anthony Arnold Sr. Obituary

Anthony Blane Arnold Sr., a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed peacefully on January 14, 2025, surrounded by his loving family in Clarksville, Indiana. He was born on September 2, 1953, in New Albany, Indiana, and lived a life filled with passion, dedication, and love for those dear to him.

For most of his life, Anthony worked in masonry, demonstrating both skill and artistry in his craft. In the last five years of his career, he took the bold step of owning his own business, Arnold Masonry, where he continued to share his expertise with pride.

Outside of his professional life, Anthony found joy in the simple pleasures of nature and the great outdoors. He had a profound love for fishing and hunting, often spending time outside to relish the beauty surrounding him. His quiet moments were frequently spent sitting on his porch, watching the world pass by, always finding a sense of peace in the hustle and bustle of everyday life. However, above all, he cherished the time spent with his family and his beloved dogs, Little Bit and Max.

Anthony's legacy is carried on by his devoted family. He is survived by his children, Toni (Damon) Cline, Eddie (Ashley) Arnold, Michael (Julie) Arnold, BJ Arnold, Daniel (LeeAnn) Arnold, and Teddy (Kaela) Arnold, Sue (Ronnie) Arnold and Becky (Derick) Ollis. He was blessed with 33 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in his heart. Additionally, he is survived by his brother, Bobby (Debbie) Arnold; sisters, Billie Burdette, Diane Arnold, and Sherry (David) Bruce; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Anthony joins in eternal rest his wife, Rhonda Gay Arnold; daughter, Marie Arnold; grandchild, Sky Arnold; parents, Dallas and Shirley Arnold; and brother, Lanny Arnold. Each of them remains forever cherished in the memories of those who loved him.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM, both at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southern Indiana, located at 3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN. Burial will follow at Mount Tabor Cemetery in New Albany, Indiana.

Anthony Blane Arnold Sr. will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit and love will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

The family requests that contributions in Anthony’s memory be made to donor's choice.
