Anthony "Tony" John Barone, 78, of Ashtabula, passed away on January 20th, 2026, surrounded by his family and his dear friend Joe. He was a loving father, grandfather, and friend to many. He served in the United States Army in Vietnam. Upon returning home he worked for over 30 years at Millennium Chemicals in maintenance. He was an avid Harley-Davidson rider, animal lover, and enjoyed going to casinos. He was well known to both family and friends for his sense of humor, caring nature, and energetic personality.

Tony is survived by his only daughter Lisa (David) Saraney, granddaughter Morgan Saraney, his previous wife Penny Gritzer Andrews, and many other family and longtime friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Anthony "Brownie" Barone, and his stepmother.

A private military burial service will be held for his immediate family on February 6th, 2026, at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Ashtabula Animal Protective League or the Ohio Veterans Memorial Park (OVMP) in his honor.
