Anthony Jermaine Battles, lovingly known as "Ant" to his friends and family, passed away on August 18, 2025, just one day after his 45th birthday. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and quiet strength.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Charlene Conner. He is survived by his sister, Erica Johnson (Troy), and his brother, Allen Michael Battles - both of whom will carry his memory with deep love and pride.

Anthony was known for his big heart, strong work ethic, and fun spirit. He had a passion for cooking and worked in restaurant kitchens, where he took pride in every meal he prepared. Ant brought energy, laughter, and care into his work, and it showed in the food he served and the way he treated the people around him. He left a lasting impression on his coworkers, who will miss both his work ethic and the good times shared behind the line.

He also had a deep love of music and culture. He often quoted "Roc Nation" and "Roc-A-Fella" - not just as names, but as ways to show the hustle, the grind, and the pride he carried with him every day. Music gave him energy and matched the confidence he brought to life. He especially loved sharing pictures of Aaliyah, often reminding those around him of her influence and the impact she had on his life.

Ant was always there when you needed him. He kept it real, showed up for the people he cared about, and had a way of making you feel like you mattered. He gave what he could, even when he had little - and that's just the kind of person he was.

In accordance with his family's wishes, Anthony will be cremated. As we take time to honor his life, we invite those who knew him to reflect on the memories you shared. Your stories, laughter, and love are part of his legacy. A memorial service may be considered at a later date.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew and loved him.

"Roc Nation."
