Anthony Benaitis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Best Funeral Services Peoria on Aug. 29, 2024.
It is with deep sadness and much love that we mourn the passing of our brother Anthony Benaitis lll, age 67 on August 24, 2024. He fought hard for 41 days after being struck by a vehicle riding his bicycle on July 15th. Anthony was born on November 15, 1956 to the late Anthony and Nancy (Pierce) Benaitis Jr. in Chicago, Illinois. On April 29, 1987 he married his beautiful wife Charlene June Easton in Phoenix, Arizona.
Anthony will always be adored and missed by his sister Mercy (Dick) Perry, brother Gregory Benaitis, and sister-in-law Denise (David) Benaitis. Nieces and nephews, Natasha Molohan, Jordan Benaitis, Slinky (Berlynn) Benaitis, Jennifer Perry, Alissa Weber, Megan Lombardo, and Michelle Riggi. Great nieces and nephews, Makenna Perry, Lennon Allen, Violet Lombardo, Sofie Lombardo, Conner Weber, Atticus Benaitis, Zaylen Benaitis, and Nicholas Riggi; Auntie Helen Ann Kupetis, Auntie Kathy and Uncle Dave Johnson, and Auntie Kathy Wardrip; as well as many family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Charlene, parents Anthony and Nancy Benaitis Jr., brother David S. Benaitis, and sister Theresa Benaitis.
Anthony's love for his family was boundless that it would bring tears to his eyes. He truly was an unselfish man with a genuine heart. We can't forget to add his love for Da Bears. This love led to his nickname, BAM, given by his great nieces as he would yell BAM at the TV every time his bears made a good play.
We will forever miss and love you BAM. xoxo
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to Honor Health Deer Valley ICU. Your kindness and dedication for Anthony and our family will forever be part of our story. Haven Health Sky Harbor Rehabilitation thank you for your care and compassion.
