Anthony Wayne "Little Man" Benson was born on February 18, 1973 in Hardin County, Tennessee, the son of the late Roy Edward and Joyce Ann DeShazier Benson.
On May 3, 1996, he was united in marriage to Leslie Denise Kelley, who preceded her husband in death on June 19, 1997.
Anthony worked with Scotty Baugus as a concrete finisher for over 20 years. He enjoyed listening to loud music, going fishing, and drinking cold beer. He liked to be at home and keep to himself. He never bothered anyone but was the friendliest person you would ever meet.
Anthony Wayne "Little Man" Benson departed this life on December 16, 2024 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 51 years, 9 months, and 28 days.
He is survived by his sisters, Melissa Murphy and Tina Benson, both of Savannah, Tennessee and his nieces and nephews, Calvin Abels, Felisha Mullins, Sabrina Howell, Diamond Howell, LeLand Mullins, Ziva Mullins, Letty Mullins, and Chris Clay. He is also survived by his girlfriend, Maria Dickerson of Savannah, Tennessee; her son, Bradley Funderburk (Brandey); and her grandchildren, Layla Funderburk and Levi Funderburk.
In addition to his wife and parents, Anthony was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Edward "Peanut" Benson and sister, Regina Lou Hollands.
