Anthony Wayne Brewer, lovingly known as Wayne, entered Heaven on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at the age of 74 years, 1 month, and 17 days. He was born August 7, 1951, in Annapolis, MO, a son of the late Lee and Macy (Lucy) Brewer. On June 12, 1971, Wayne was united in marriage to the love of his life, Virginia Suzette (Campbell) Brewer who survives. To this union two daughters were born, Crystal McClanahan and husband Dave of Desloge, MO, and Kelly Minghi and husband Pastor Mike of
Ironton, MO, all of whom survive. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Carson, Kassie, Lucy, Judah, and Eden; one great-grandchild, Georgie, one sister, Lenora Miller of Arcadia, MO, one brother, James Brewer and wife Sandy, fishing buddy and nephew, Richard Turnbough, and many more loving family members and friends. Wayne is preceded in rest by his parents, Lee and Macy Brewer, and six brothers, Ray Brewer, Blackie Brewer, Everett Brewer, Raymond Brewer, Gene Brewer, and Dave Brewer. Wayne Brewer never met a stranger. Whether he was at McDonalds or a waiting room, he found it easy to make conversation and share a friendly smile. Throughout his life, he worked lots of different jobs from Burger King, to the railroad to logging. But, he spent most of his work-life providing for his family at ISP Minerals until his health made him retire in 1995. After that, he took on making sure his wife and girls were always taken care of, making meals, going to ball games and supporting Suzette while she went back to college. Wayne became an avid fisherman, loved tending to his flowers and November was always his favorite month because he could go deer hunting up North. After he and Suzette moved to Farmington, he enjoyed mowing grass, visiting friends and family and taking his boat out anytime he could. Wayne attended 1st Baptist Church of Annapolis, where he came to have a relationship with Jesus. After that he attended Happy Zion General Baptist Church in Annapolis and for the last 8 years, he and Suzette have enjoyed serving Jesus together at Abundant Life Family Church in Farmington. Wayne served his Lord and Savior in the ways that he could: singing, door greeting, leading a Sunday School discussion, catching and frying fish and even lawncare. Wayne's greatest joys, next to Suzette, were his girls and grandkids. He was grateful to have been able to walk both his girls down the aisle and welcome grandbabies into the world. A grandbaby crawling up on his lap to love on "Pawpaw" would bring tears to his eyes every time. Wayne will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Because of his faith in Jesus Christ, we know that he is completely healed and rejoicing with his Savior in Heaven. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, beginning at 1:00 pm from the Cole Family Funeral Home Chapel. A Visitation for friends and family to gather will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, beginning at 10 am and lasting until 1:00 pm from the Cole Family Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow the services in the Annapolis Cemetery. Pastor Mike Harrison and Pastor Rick Hensley will be officiating the services.
