Anthony Bryant Obituary

McAllen - It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Anthony Neal Bryant, who departed this life on December 19, 2024, surrounded by his family at his home following a long battle with Alzheimer's. Neal was born on January 20, 1950 in Montgomery, Alabama to Nell Alford and Cornelius Bryant. He grew up in Rutledge, Alabama as a young boy until he moved to Texas in his early teens. After moving to the Valley he graduated from Donna High School in 1967 and joined the Army Reserves. He worked for Southwestern Bell for 42 years and retired in 2015. Those who knew him close knew his love for music, cars, motorcycles, guns and hunting. He was an amazing father who did anything and everything for his children. He was a devoted husband of 45 years, loyal friend and had a great sense of humor.

He is preceded in death by his mother Nell Tullis, father Cornelius Bryant, step-father Thomas Tullis Sr., brother Thomas Tullis Jr. He is survived by his wife Eloisa H. Bryant, sons Anthony Neal Bryant Jr. and Joseph Allen Bryant, daughter Heather L. Gonzalez (Brigido Gonzalez Jr.), brother George C. Bryant, sisters Connie Ledbetter and Holly Shelton. He had four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren who all loved their "Paw Paw".

Our deepest gratitude to Opus Hospice, including Cristina and Jorge for their continued care and support.

Services will be held on Monday, December 23, 2024 at Kreidler Funeral Home with Visitation: 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. with a Rosary: 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. followed by Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Chapel: at 11:30 a.m.

Louie,
I find it difficult to believe that Red is no longer with us. I will always remember the kind person that he was. He was always there for anyone that needed his help. He always brought a smile to everyone he met. We pray that you and your family find peace. May he rest in peace. Our prayers and condolences to you and your family.
