Anthony Glen “Tony” Buck, age 71, of Fruitland, passed away at his home on November 10, 2025.
Tony was born January 5, 1954 in Helena, Montana, to Duaine & Louise Simpson Buck. He married Mavis Pearl Vanderpool on June 24, 1995. They enjoyed 32 years together.
Tony dropped out of high school to join the Navy. He served during the Vietnam War, was captured and was held as a POW prisoner. He managed to escape, they caught him and he ended back as a POW. He had the opportunity to be discharged by President Nixon.
He worked as a long haul truck driver and enjoyed motorcycles. He was a very loving, kind, and knowledgeable man. He was willing to help others and family was his most precious gift. He was a wonderful husband, son, father brother, and friend.
He is survived by his wife, Mavis Buck; children, Jennifer Buck, Travis Buck, Kati Jo Buck; his grandchildren, Liz, Mackenzie, Logan, and Brady; his mother, Louise Buck; his siblings, Connie (Mike) Fondren, Danny (Linda) Buck, and Judy Buck; and his cat Eddy.
He was preceded in death by his father, Duane Buck; sister, Patty Campbell; and his service dog, Rusty.
Per his wishes he was cremated.
