Anthony "Chaz" Simmons

Anthony "Chaz” Simmons passed away on September 9, 2025, in Murray, Utah. He was born January 20, 1982, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Cynthia Simmons and Odell Simmons III (Jr.).

Chaz passed away peacefully on September 9th, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.

Chaz is preceded in death by his mother, Cynthia, and his father, Odell Simmons; his brother, Jermaine Simmons; his sister, Tonita Burr; and many other cherished family members and friends.

Chaz was a prodigious father to: Aurianna, Ashantee, Angelo, Alli’Ijah, Amiyah, Jaylah, Matthew, and Maurice. At the same time, being a dedicated brother, uncle, and guardian to many. Chaz was a loyal and dedicated partner to Tayler until the very end.

Chaz was funny, smart, and hardworking; anything he put his mind to was guaranteed in his favor. Chaz was an entrepreneur working hard to provide for the ones he adored most. Although Chaz faced many adversities, it never took away from his zany personality or will to protect the ones he loved the most.

Chaz leaves behind sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will continue to carry on his light in his honor.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Memorial Murray Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East, Murray, Utah. You may visit with the family at a viewing prior to the service from 12:00 to 1:45 PM.
