Anthony Jules "A. J." Cigali II

Anthony "A.J." Cigali, II was born on August 21, 1944. After years of living with Parkinson's, he peacefully entered eternal rest on January 7, 2026 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

A.J. started working at the young age of 19 and spent his entire career in real estate investments. In 1964, he married his devoted wife of 61 years, Anne Elizabeth Viola. The couple had three daughters and lived in New Orleans until 1990, when they moved to the Northshore and became active members of the community.

A.J. was a devoted husband, father, and friend, whose passions included fishing, hunting and fixing just about everything. He was truly a skilled craftsman. Although A.J. preferred to stay out of the spotlight, his years of love and commitment to his family and friends truly deserve recognition. He was known for his generosity, loyalty, and unwavering support of those in need.

A.J. was predeceased by his parents, Margaret Houlihan Cigali and Elton A. Cigali, Sr. , and his brother, Elton A. Cigali, Jr.. He is survived by his wife, Anne Viola Cigali; his daughters, Elizabeth Cigali Manshel (Larry), Andree Cigali Pierce (Kevin), and Ashley Cigali Tyler (John); and his beloved grandchildren, Margaret Rose Manshel, Jules Tyler, Anna Grace Tyler, Matthew Tyler and William Tyler

A visitation will be held at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Mandeville, LA on January 16th from 10:30am to 11:30am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. A private family entombment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery.

We find comfort in knowing that his legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.
