Anthony “Tony” Dalesandro Also known as Butch, Dad, Pops, and Poppy.
Anthony Dalesandro, age 83, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2025, reuniting with his wife of 60 years and the love of his life, Mary Lou (Pinto) Dalesandro. Beloved by all, he was a man of warmth, wisdom, and unwavering loyalty.
Born and raised near Taylor Street in Chicago, Tony was the youngest son of John and Adeline (Ramicone) Dalesandro. He grew up with brothers Joseph and Robert, attended DePaul Academy and Roosevelt University, and built a respected career in the music and home video industry through hard work, humility, and honesty.
Above all, Tony’s greatest pride was his family. He is survived by his two sons, Anthony (Lisa Anne) and Michael (Chantel), and his beloved granddaughters who brought him endless joy, Avalon and Victoria, and his many nieces and nephews. He will be remembered by his childhood friends from the old neighborhood, his music and video industry colleagues, his Royal Melbourne club crew and his business partner John Salstone, who all held a permanent place in his heart
Tony was known for his big laugh, his even bigger heart, his love of the Chicago Bears and his strong Catholic faith. To know Tony was to be loved by him.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 25, from 3–9 p.m. at Salerno’s Rosedale Chapel in Roselle.
Funeral Mass will take place Friday, September 26, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Palatine, followed by burial at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Boys and Girls Club of America.
