Anthony DeAlmeida, J.R. Obituary Anthony DeAlmeida Jr., 65, of Rowley, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 9, 2023. He was born on July 5, 1957, in Salem, MA, the son of Anthony "Tony" and Nancy (Smith) DeAlmeida, Sr.
He was raised in Rowley, MA. Tony attended Pine Grove Elementary School and graduated from Triton High School, where he was a title-holding track star. He still holds the record for the high jump. He enjoyed playing high school football and was a sports enthusiast.
Tony lived in Woburn, MA and for 30 years, owned his own transportation business. He returned to Rowley in 2020 and started DeAlmeida motorsports. He also worked for the United States Postal Service and was known as "Mr. Reliable".
He was generous, a jokester, loved his family and people; always had a smile on his face. He was a devoted father, friend, and loving son.
Tony is survived by a son, Daniel "Dan" DeAlmeida; a daughter, Alysa DeAlmeida, two sisters, Darlene A. Hardy and her husband, William, Barbara J. Smith; a brother, Joseph P. DeAlmeida; and his partner, Maureen Damato Gallant, with whom he lived and found great happiness. His daughter, Karla DeAlmeida, predeceased him.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Graveside Service on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at 10 a.m., at Rowley Burial Ground. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Association would be appreciated. To light a memorial candle or leave a condolence message, please visit www.fsrobertsandson.com.
