Anthony Hugh Dellinger

Anthony (Andy) Hugh Dellinger, age 62, of Ocean Isle Beach, NC passed away at his home on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, with his wife and 3 daughters by his side after a courageous 3-year 3-month battle with Glioblastoma, stage four brain cancer.
A longtime resident of Cary, NC Andy was born on January 30,1960 in Lumberton, NC and was the son of the late Barbara Faye Reeves. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Grace Reeves, who lovingly raised Andy to be the man he became. Andy is survived by his wife of 27 years, Christa Rosser Dellinger and his three daughters and son in law, Ashley and Craig Willis, Dana Dellinger and Haley Dellinger. He is also survived by his best friends of 48 years Danny and Sherry McKee of Cary, NC and his mother-in-law Virginia Rosser of Farmville, VA. Andy touched many lives in his 62 years and had an army of friends supporting him during his battle with cancer, many of whom he considered family.
A fiercely competitive man, Andy had a passion for golf, the Dallas Cowboys, Duke Basketball, and any game that you were willing to challenge him. Andy always dreamed of retiring to the beach and was able to achieve his dream along with his devoted wife in 2017. Andy took pride in everything and everyone in his life. He spent a lifetime building a network of lasting relationships that he cherished through loyalty and his "AD" sarcasm.
Andy proudly attended East Carolina University and graduated with a degree in Business. His professional career began at Pepsi Cola and he later moved on to Coca-Cola. His successful career led him to Cintas where he spent the last 21 years of his career retiring in August 2021. His Cintas career began in Greensboro, NC. In just four short years Andy was promoted several times, including to the branch manager position of a start-up plant in Statesville, NC. Andy served as the Branch Manager in Statesville for 4 1?2 years before taking on the responsibility of one of Cintas' larger locations in Raleigh-Durham where he has served as the General Manager for 13 years.
Andy has developed many successful partners at Cintas and was a major contributor to the success of the MidSouth Group. During his tenure at Cintas, Andy achieved numerous accomplishments, awards, and accolades which included 2 Winner Circles, seven Outstanding Achievement Awards, and multiple Sales Team of the Year Awards for his operations.
A service will be held at the Ocean Isle Beach Chapel on Saturday January 14, 2023 at 2:00 with a celebration of life immediately following at Sharkey's Restaurant. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the OIB recreation department to support the weekly concerts and various activities of Ocean Isle Beach that Andy enjoyed so much.
