Benson, NC: Mr. Roddy Ken McGee, age 68, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh surrounded by his loving family. The family will receive friends from 1:45PM-2:45PM Thursday, January 22, 2026 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC. Funeral Services will be held 3:00PM Thursday, January 22, 2026 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson, NC. Officiating will be Rev. Glenn McCullen and Judge Joy Jones. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Benson.
Ken was born on April 2, 1957 in Wake County, NC, to the late Harold Bledsoe and Maudie Lee Honeycutt McGee. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gary McGee. Ken attended and played football at East Carolina University in Greenville. He was a proud entrepreneur in the manufactured and modular housing industry and received many accolades. Ken enjoyed working, traveling, participating in outdoor activities, and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his daughters, Amber Elalami and husband, Fouad, Lauren McGee and husband, Todd Russell, Mackenzie Duke and husband, Ben, Madison Clifton and husband, Ashton; grandchildren, Leena and Tarek Elalami, Merle and Rayni Joi Clifton, Parker Duke and Baby Duke due in August of 2026; beloved friend and mother of Mackenzie and Madison, Joy Lynn McGee; brother, Ray McGee and wife, Beth; sister-in-law, Linda McGee; many nieces and nephews; and special buddy, Avery Anderson.
The McGee Family would like to extend a special thank you to his caregivers that became family, RaeAnn Coats, Megan Johnson, and Sonia Barnes for their loyal care and friendship.
