Anthony (Tony) DiSarcina, 93, of Stoneham, Massachusetts, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 after a period of declining health. He was the beloved son of the late Joseph and Maria (Caruso) DiSarcina of Somerville, Massachusetts. He is predeceased by his parents and his late brother Louis and his wife Rosanna of Medford. He will be greatly missed by his many loving cousins and his extended family members.
Tony was a man of remarkable character and integrity. He was a good soul concerned for the planet and fellow human beings. Born in Milford, Massachusetts and raised in Somerville, Massachusetts, Tony graduated from Somerville High School in 1949 and received a B.S. in Business Administration from Northeastern University in 1954. He enlisted in the United States Army, and served in the Signal Corp in Georgia, Austria and Germany. After being honorably discharged in 1956, Tony began a successful career in the insurance industry including 28 years with the Travelers Insurance Company in California and Hartford, Connecticut. He was promoted to Vice President in the International Operations of the company. Subsequently, he joined the Nippon Fire and Marine Insurance Company where he functioned as an Executive Advisor to the company's management team. Tony was an avid student of history, politics and treasured his collection of books and videos. Tony also loved classic cars and his prize winning 1966 T Bird.
Anthony's family will honor and remember his life with a private service.
