Anthony L. “Tony” Gootee, 54, of Kewadin, passed away on December 7, 2024.
Tony was born on December 27, 1969, in Detroit, the son of Larry and Juanita (Evitta) Gootee.
He was an avid football fan, especially University of Michigan. He enjoyed camping, watching cop shows, and just living a simple life.
Tony was employed by ALP in Charlevoix for many years.
Surviving are 3 children, Brandon LaFrance of Livonia, Caitlen Gootee and Alyssa Gootee both of Bellaire, grandson Bryce LaFrance, step-son Corey Newsome, 6 siblings, Kasandra (William) Creger, Jason Gootee, Wayne (Cindi) Gootee, Larry Gootee Jr., Michael Gootee Jr., Marie Gootee, his step-father Roger Burgess, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a niece Ashley Creger.
At this time services will be private.
