Mr. Anthony Harrison Jr. age 47, transitioned on June 10, 2025 at his residence.
Anthony Harrison, Jr. was born February 11, 1978. He entered eternal rest on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at his home. He lived to be 47 years old and thoroughly made the most of the years he was given.
Anthony was born in Nash County and lived all his live in Battleboro, NC. He graduated from North Edgecombe High School on May 13, 1997.
Anthony was known by several names in the community. Some called him "Lil Amp" and some called him "Boss Hogg the Mayor of Battleboro". He was a beacon of light, always full of fun and laughter and touched the lives of many. Whenever he saw his cousins, his famous saying was "I love you cuz". We all love him so much and he will most definitely be missed beyond words.
He was preceded in death by his only sister Tonja Lee Mills, a special cousin Darlene Fenner, maternal grandparents Carrie and Sell Harrison, and Annie Ruth and Ocie Carter, several aunts, uncles, and cousins, too numerous to name.
Anthony's legacy will live on in the hearts of his parents Margaret and Anthony Harrison. His only child, daughter Alexia McWilliams Harrison, two brothers Demetrice Harrison (Sharina) and Derreck Harrison. Two uncles Joe Battle of Rocky Mount, NC, and Fred Battle of Brooklyn, NY, six aunts: Victoria Davis of Brooklyn, NY, Yvonne Fenner of Battleboro, NC, Belinda Johnson of Battleboro, NC, Mary Jones, of Nashville, NC, and Annie Singleton (Charles) of Hampton, VA, and a host of relatives and friends.
A Visitation for Mr. Harrison will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, located at 426 Cutchin Street, Whitakers, North Carolina. Funeral services will follow the visitation beginning at 2:00 pm. The Interment will immediately follow the service at White Oak Baptist Church Cemetery, Enfield, North Carolina.
