Jones,
Anthony Edward
Anthony "TJ" Jones, born October 27, 1962, in Muskegon, Michigan, to John and Joanna Jones, unexpectedly passed away on August 17, 2025.
Tony attended and graduated from Muskegon High School in 1980, where he began building the foundation of a life defined by dedication, laughter, and love. In 1983, he proudly entered the United States Navy, serving with honor until his retirement in 2009 as a Senior Chief Petty Officer.
A devoted family man, Tony cherished time with his loved ones most of all. He found joy on the golf course-where every missed putt was "just practice"-and in relaxing with a nice sip, never missing the opportunity to add humor to the moment. Anthony served faithfully as a Free Mason and on various church committees, but what most people will remember him for is his gift of laughter. He had a way of making people smile and carried himself with an unmistakable confidence-he swore he had "swag," and truth be told, he did.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Joanna Jones, and his baby sister, Kimberly Jones.
Left to celebrate his life and carry on his legacy are his brothers Cedric (Kristi) Jones, Joseph (Carmella) Johnson, Thomas (Crystal) Ross; his sisters Hillery Ross and Jennifer Ross; His granddaughter in love Promise Morris; His nieces Denesha Burse, Asia Jones, Kimaria (Tony) Whiteside, Kierra(Bryon) Jones, Arleigha Gordon, Jourden Sharps, and; his nephews Cedric (Emily) Jones Jr., Brennston Ross, and Adam Ross, his cherished companion; Venessa Pringle and Buttons; along with a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family, and dear friends will forever remember his humor, love, and strength.
Anthony "TJ" Jones lived with heart, humor, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. His laughter, lessons, and yes-his "swag"-will continue to echo through the lives of all who knew him.
