Anthony "Tony" Joy

Anthony "Tony" Scott Joy, 55, passed away after complications of a heart attack on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, in Jackson, Tennessee. He was born March 21, 1970, to David and Carolyn Joy in Covington, Tennessee. On September 28, 1997, he married Brenda Denise Tidwell.
Tony is survived by his wife Denise, four children, Kim Hoy, Koley Cousar, Casey Joy, and Catilin Everitt Degraw and his two grandchildren, Layla Joy and Brynlee Hoy and one grandson on the way from his youngest daughter, Catilin. He is also survived by his mother, Carolyn Joy, his brother Jeff Joy, and his sister Gina Shannon, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He was proceeded in death by his brother, Brian Joy, and his father, David Joy.
Tony will be remembered for his hard work ethic with his many years of working as parts manager and a parts salesman, his love for his grandchildren, children and family, and his love for Mexican food, Chevelle muscle cars, mountain landscapes and rock n roll music.
May we remember him for the smiles he brought, the jokes he made, and every time you take a sip of a margarita.
Friends and family are encouraged to attend a memorial gathering to share memories and celebrate Tony's life on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 10 a.m. until noon at Covington Funeral Home.
