Anthony LaFata, age 62, was a lifelong resident of the San Fernando Valley. He passed away unexpectedly at his home in Studio City on July 15th.
Anthony had enjoyed a successful career in the accounting field, having obtained a Masters in Tax from CSUN. Anthony always felt that he was “a healer at heart,” and it is this heartfelt desire to be a healer that brought him to Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine to study and pursue a career in acupuncture. In addition to pursuing this new career direction, Anthony also enjoyed bicycling, music, Martial Arts, and was a cat aficionado.
Anthony is survived by his partner for 18 years, Lynn Sarkany, and his brother, Paul LaFata. He is preceded in death by his parents, Enrico and Lucille LaFata.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial date still to be determined. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Anthony’s name to Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine: https://yosan.edu/support-ysu/
