Anthony William "Bones" Lake

Anthony William Lake, 55 of Winchester, passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Winchester Medical Center.

Anthony was born in 1970 in Lynchburg, VA, the son of the late Laurence and Brenda Lake. He was self-employed as a carpenter for 36 years. Anthony was a member of the Winchester Eagles #824 and the Winchester Moose Lodge. He enjoyed playing pool, fishing, partying, and acting silly. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Anthony is survived by his wife who he spent 36 years together with Lena Mae whom he married on November 19, 1989; daughters, Amber Lockhart (Jimmy) of Charlestown, WV, Leann Lake (Brandon) of Winchester, VA, Bella Weatherholt of Winchester, VA and Jessica Owens (Jeffrey) of Winchester, VA; grandchildren, Abbie "Bambam", Serenity, Shaelyn, Aubrey and Bentley; step-grandchildren, Aaron, Jaylynn, Bentley, Bryson, Alexis and Tori, his brothers, Toby Lake (Sandi) of Winchester, VA and Terry Lake of Myrtle Beach, SC, longtime best friend from childhood, R.J. Hottle and several nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

In addition to his parents, Anthony is preceded in death by his adopted son, Michael Myers.

A visitation will be held for Anthony on Monday, September 29, 2025, from 6pm to 8pm with a service to be conducted the following day, Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 11am all held at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery in Strasburg. A reception will be held after the burial at the Winchester Eagles Club.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Anthony to Lena Lake and their family.
