Anthony Frank Lewis Jr, 75, transitioned peacefully on June 19th, 2025, surrounded by his beloved family. Anthony was born July 28th, 1949, in Wilmington Delaware. Anthony was proceeded in death by his parents Lucy Decino-Lewis and Anthony Frank Lewis SR, his Sisters, Lulu Fitzhugh, Francis-Cratty, his daughter, Christine Michelle-Lewis, and his beloved aunt Louise Culley and Uncle Jack Culley. He was a loving Father, husband, Grandfather (Pop-pop) and Great-Grandfather.
Anthony took care of his family and friends all his life and always looked out for others. His life was centered around his family and loved ones. Many would describe Anthony as someone who always did for others and always fed them. He loved cooking. He spent a lot of his time experimenting different recipes, watching his favorite cooking shows, teaching his grandchildren recipes and always looking to try new things. He would cook for his family every Sunday dinner, and this is something he truly enjoyed. He always had the best desserts. One of his specialties was his Chocolate Chip Cookies. Anthony met his sweetheart when he was just 15 years old, and proceeded to marry the love of his life, Karen Baker-Lewis on June 12th, 1971. Anthony and his wife raised two children and proceeded to raise two of their grandchildren. Anthony is a family-oriented man and truly loved when his family would be together. Anthony worked at Amtrak for 33 years of his life and retired as a very honorable worker, he served as the president of the sheet metal union. Anthony served in the Navy during the Vietnam War and was a retired veteran. In his adult years he spent time coaching baseball and softball while his children played, he was a cub scout leader in boy scouts for his son. Anthony's additional hobbies included gardening, poker, fishing and hunting. He loved being out on the water. Any chance he was given, he would be out on the water, fishing, with his son and grandsons. Every hunting season best believe he was ready to hunt. He always had deer meat stored away, his family always looked forward to his home-made deer jerky. Anthony took true pride in his family values and was always true to his word. He was a man of many things but the best thing he was good at was bringing the family together and being the glue and foundation of the family. His memory will always live on, especially at every Sunday dinner going forward.
Anthony is survived by his wife, Karen Lewis, his son, Anthony Lewis III (Lanai Lewis), His adopted sons Logan Lewis and Jonathan Lewis, His non biological son, Drew Mayhall. His brother Jimmy Lewis (Susan Lewis). His many grandchildren, Brianna Lewis-Jenkins (Bri-Brat, His sunshine) (Isaiah Jenkins), Toni Lewis, Ashton Russell (Donna Russell), Anthony Lewis IIII (Katherine Wertz), along with his great grandchildren who he loved dearly.
