Anthony James Liscio, 93, passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 22, 2025. Born in New Canaan, Connecticut, Anthony proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. His service to his country was something he carried with honor throughout his life. He also served in the National Guard in Connecticut. After his military service, Anthony built a strong work ethic and career in several places that he called home. In Lewisboro, New York, he ran his own excavating and landscaping company as well as being a volunteer fireman for the Vista Fire Department before moving his family to Naples, Florida in 1969. There he worked for the Deltona Corporation on Marco Island and then transferred to the east coast of Florida which included site work on the nuclear power plant at Merritt Island. He was actively involved in the Naples Little League and enjoyed watching his youngest sons play on the same team as pitcher and catcher. He retired in Port St. Lucie, Florida, before living in Melbourne, Florida and later Naples, always staying close to family and Florida's sunshine. Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Alfred Liscio; his sister Connie Petrucci; his brother Frank Liscio; his son David Liscio and his grandson David Nelson. He is survived by his five children: Diane Neuman, Robert Liscio (Jae Liscio), Carol Sissman (John Sissman, Jr.); Mary Bates (Roy Bates) and Paul Liscio. He also leaves behind ten grandchildren, William Nelson, Kristen Crispen, Kathryn Roy, (Mathieu Roy), Derek Neuman (Lauren Neuman), Megan Neuman, Melanie Neuman Dirske (Zach Dirske), David Neuman (Julia Neuman), Alexandra Liscio, Bryan Horner (Andrea Horner) and Dustin Horner along with 15 great-grandchildren who brought him immense joy. He also leaves many nieces and nephews that he cared for deeply. Anthony loved nothing more than being surrounded by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a proud Army veteran, a devoted NASCAR fan, and an enthusiastic supporter of sports, especially baseball and football. He also enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with those he loved. Anthony will be remembered for his proud service and love of his country, strong work ethic and the love he gave so generously to his family. A private, graveside service and burial of ashes will be held at Fountainhead Memorial Park in Melbourne, Florida.
