"Beloved father, grandfather & brother"
Anthony "Tony" Longhi, born on July 9, 1942, in Waterbury, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2025, in West Hartford, Connecticut, surrounded by his loving family.
Anthony was predeceased by his parents, Aldo and Pierina (Feliciani) Longhi. He is survived by his two children, J.R. and Debbie; his grandson, Matthew; his sisters, Carolyn and Theresa; his brother, Arthur; and many cherished cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A graduate of the University of Connecticut in 1965, Tony dedicated much of his professional life as a Chemist in the Lab at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. Known for his quick wit and infectious humor, he brought joy to all who knew him with his jokes and ability to make people laugh.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Brookdale Chatfield and Brighton Hospice for their exceptional care during Tony's final days.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Associate Holiday Fund Brookdale Chatfield, 1 Chatfield Dr., West Hartford, CT 06110 or The Melanoma Research Foundation.
Tony will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his memory bring comfort and laughter to those he leaves behind.
Arrangements: Arrangements: Funeral Friday January 31 at 9 a.m. from Chase Parkway Memorial/Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury to the Basilica of the immaculate Conception for Mass at 10. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours Friday morning from 8 to 9 a.m. at the funeral home.
