Anthony Thomas Lovetere Jr. ("Tony"), a long-time resident of Dedham, died Friday, November 14, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 91. Anthony was born July 18, 1934 in Brighton, Massachusetts, the only son of Anthony Thomas Sr., and Christine (Cantoni) Lovetere. After graduating from Dedham High School in 1953, he worked as a truck driver for his father's company Alco Trucking. When that was sold, he continued driving trucks for Halamore Trucking and finally New England Concrete Pipe Company. Anthony treasured spending time with his family. He also enjoyed road trips with family and friends, Tuesday night dinners with the boys, ballroom dancing, and his model train collection. He is survived by the love of his life for 70 years, Shirley M. (Wells) Lovetere; his son, Anthony T. Lovetere III, and his partner Kevin, of Dedham; his late son, Peter Lovetere and his wife Kathy, of Canton; his three daughters, Cheryl Lovetere, and her partner Mike, of California, Paula Coyle, and her husband Bob, of Wrentham, and Denise Rooney, and her husband Michael, of Franklin. He was the proud grandfather of Kristin Gleason, Kelli Thomas (Jimmy), Matthew Lovetere (Evelyn), Billy Lovetere (Katie), Maggie Lovetere-Howe (Josh), Deanna Rooney, John Rooney, Joseph Rooney, Lauren Coyle, and Erin Cacciapaglia (Jared) and the dear great grandfather of Dalton, James and Tyce Thomas; Zoe, Marley and Vinny Cacciapaglia; Vida, Jude, Joanna, Cameron and Brooke Lovetere; and Liam and Layla Howe. He is also survived by his favorite pup and sidekick, Rory (Snookie-Plum) who never left his side. Anthony was also the beloved uncle of many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters Constance Johnson and Diane Capobianco. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass Monday, November 24th at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Church, 420 High Street, Dedham immediately followed by a Celebration of Life at Waterford's Family Restaurant, 2 Bridge Street, Dedham.
