Anthony Machado

In Taunton, Anthony "Tony" Machado, age 75, passed away at home following a brief illness on February 26, 2026. Tony was the husband of loving wife Dianne (Correia) Machado of Taunton for forty years. He was born in Sao Miguel, Portugal, the son of the late Amilcar Machado and Mary (Medeiros) Machado. Anthony had resided all his life in Taunton, he was educated in Taunton schools and received his associate's degree from UMASS Amherst in landscaping. He was employed at Lopes Construction and also Riley Brothers Construction Companies as a heavy equipment operator. Tony enjoyed his work, took great care in keeping his home and yard, enjoyed riding his motorcycle, growing his vegetables, his family especially his beloved Grand and Great Grandchildren. Tony is survived by his children Melissa Correia and her partner Richard Lynch of Taunton, Lawrence Moniz and his wife Paulette of Manchester, NH, Melissa Maring and her husband Jason of Mooretown, VT, and Aaron Machado and his wife Samantha of Jacksonville, FL. He also leaves his sisters Fatima Rodrigues of Taunton and Loli Medeiros of Dighton, late brothers in law Tiago Rodrigues and Jack Medeiros, sister Clementine Cardoza and husband Paul Cardoza. Tony also leaves his cherished Grandchildren Shawn Moniz, Christopher Wyman, Katelyn Moniz, Alicia Correia Silva, Riley Machado, Savannah Machado, Lucy Maring, Ruby Maring, Lincoln Machado, and Oliver Machado, his great grandchildren Lucas Hartley, Callen Moniz, and Caden Moniz. Tony also leaves several nieces, nephews and friends. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at 11 am at St. Joseph's Cemetery, 475 East Britannia St. in Taunton, MA. Following the burial, the family would like to extend an invitation to a reception at the Polish Club in Taunton. Arrangements are under the care of the O'Keefe Wade Funeral Home in Taunton.
