Anthony Macrae “Mack” Martin, age 60, of Cumming, GA passed away Monday, September 18, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ann Martin Sefzik and Richard Sefzik, Sr., his grandparents, Chesley and Laura Mae Hammond and his step-brother, Todd Sefzik all of Cumming, GA. He was a lifelong resident of Forsyth County. He was a partner in a family storage and rental business, and a caregiver for his grandparents and parents at the end of their lives. Mack was a beloved son, grandson, brother, and uncle. He was always smiling and lit up any room he was in. He loved his family, especially the many nieces and nephews to whom he was “Uncle Mack''. Mack was a gentle giant and he loved all music, especially southern rock ‘n roll. He enjoyed shooting pool, attending concerts with his siblings, sitting on the beach in the sun, swimming in the salt water, and having a good time.
He is survived by his sister, Cecilia Weldy of Cumming, GA, and his brother and sister-in-law, Rodney and Cindy Martin also of Cumming, GA, step-brother, Richard Sefzik, Jr., step-sister Tanya (Richard) Clark, and step-sister Jodi Sefzik. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews including April (Andrew) Oliver, Amie (Christian) Holmes, Richard (Chelsea) Sefzik, III, Abigail Martin, Elijah Martin, Emily Martin, Jaymi Sefzik, and Jennifer Funderburk. His great-nieces and nephews include Daigan Oliver, Emerson Oliver, and Evelyn Holmes.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, September 22, 2023 in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Sefzik, III officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 21st from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Friday from 12:00 PM until the time of the service.
