It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a remarkable man who touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Anthony J Maturo, passed away at the young age of 45, on April 23rd, after an intense battle with a rare cancer.
Born on January 9th, to Anthony (Tony) F Maturo and Cathy B Maturo, Anthony grew up alongside his twin sister Kelly M Edens in Orange, CT on the infamous Pardee Manor Rd. From an early age, he demonstrated an incredible passion for life and a deep commitment to making a positive impact on the world around him. Whether it was through his work, his many hobbies, or simply his interactions with others, Anthony radiated kindness, compassion, and a zest for life.
After completing his education at University of New Mexico, Anthony went on to pursue a career in banking. He quickly established himself as a leader in his industry, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and clients alike. Anthony always had a smile on his face and a positive attitude with an intensity that earned him the nickname Turbo. He was a true inspiration to all who knew him, and his determination and strength of character will always be remembered.
Anthony never lost sight of what truly mattered in life: his family. In 2003, Anthony met the love of his life, Lesley, and together they embarked on a journey of love and partnership that lasted for 16 blissful years. They were blessed with two beautiful children, Joseph (16) and Jacqueline (13), who were the light of Anthony's life. He cherished every moment spent with his family, whether it was attending sporting events for both the kids or an adventure-filled trip to ski, bike, or hike. Anthony was a free spirit especially when he was skiing, the love for the sport brought a tremendous amount of joy to him.
Anthony's passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him, his memory will continue to inspire and uplift us. We will always remember his kind and generous heart, his infectious smile, and his unwavering courage in the face of adversity.
We extend our deepest sympathies to Anthony's parents, Tony and Cathy, his twin sister Kelly, his wife Lesley, and their children Joey and Jacquie. May they find comfort in the knowledge that Anthony lived a life filled with purpose and love, and that his impact will continue to be felt for generations to come.
