Anthony J. "Tony" Moniz

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anthony J. "Tony" Moniz, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who left us too soon on Wednesday April 16, 2025.
Tony was a man of great warmth, humor, and spirit, known for his deep love of family and passion for life. He is survived by his devoted wife, Grace Moniz, and his loving sister, Theresa Moniz. Tony was a proud father to Cory Moniz, Shawn Clark, Kam Goldstone, and Meaghan Costa, and a cherished grandfather to Janessa Clark, Gianna Clark, and Aris Moniz.
He was preceded in death by his dear parents, Antonio and Mary Moniz, who instilled in him the values of hard work, kindness, and loyalty.
Tony found joy in the simple pleasures of life-riding his Harley, filling the air with the sound of his keyboard and other instruments, and making memories with the people he loved most. His presence lit up every room, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
Tony's legacy lives on in the love he gave, the stories he shared, and the music he played. He will be forever missed and always remembered.
The family asks that you honor Tony's memory by taking a ride, playing your favorite song, or simply spending time with those you love.
His funeral service will be held on Friday April 25th at 10 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Thursday April 24th from 4-8 PM. For online condolence book, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
