Anthony was a close high school friend. Without exception, he was one of the nicest boys in his class, and one of the best football players on his undefeated team. When he graduated, he was offered a football scholarship to Marquette U. Popular, with lots of friends, he was an easy-going kid whom everyone really liked. He drove a sporty Studebaker, was from a prominent and great family in Niles but was still that kind, well-mannered boy to everyone. He was a standout whom I admired.
