Anthony Piccirillo, lovingly known as Tony, passed away peacefully at the age of 78 after a courageous battle with esophageal cancer.
Born on November 21, 1946, in Hackensack, New Jersey, to the late Anthony Piccirillo and Ann Marie Crocillo, Tony was a man of strength, love, and unwavering dedication to family.
Tony proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as a Sergeant, receiving an honorable discharge on January 20, 1970. Following his military service, he built a lifelong career in the auto industry, beginning as a mechanic and retiring as Shop Foreman for Jack Daniels Porsche Audi in Fair Lawn, NJ in 2018 after he suffered a heart attack and was longer able to work.
Above all, Tony cherished his role as a father. As a single parent, he raised his daughters, Christine Piccirillo and Michele Arnold, with a big heart, a dry and witty sense of humor, and boundless encouragement, always cheering them on and guiding them with love and strength. He adored spending time with his grandchildren, Gabriella and Dominick Arnold and being surrounded by family.
Tony also loved reading, watching movies, going shopping, going out to eat, and most of all, creating memories with the family he loved so dearly. He is survived by his daughters; grandchildren; his sister, Carol Lange, and her daughter Becky Gardner.
A Celebration of Our Father's Life will be held in November to honor what would have been his birthday. Friends and family will gather to share stories, laughter, and memories of a man whose love, courage, and legacy touched all who knew him. More details will follow as the date approaches.
