John Hart Obituary
Born and raised in Pompton Plains, New Jersey, John was one of three children born to John Thomas Sr. and Mary C. Hart (née Placer). A 1980 graduate of Pequannock Township High School, John built a career in telecommunications with AT&T-Lucent-Avaya while simultaneously fueling his passion through his own landscaping business.
Some of John's happiest moments were spent on family vacations in Aruba or on the golf course with friends. He was an enthusiastic sports fan, especially when it came to football and the New York Giants. He also had a deep interest in cars and motorcycles. In recent years, he discovered a special happiness in crafting and creating handmade gifts for his family-thoughtful expressions of the love he had for them.
John is survived by his beloved children, Matthew Ryan Hart and Taylor Nicole Hart; his parents, John Thomas Sr. and Mary C. Hart; and his siblings, Bill Hart and Kathleen Hart. He will be deeply missed.
Visiting hours will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 pm Friday, February 20 at Scanlan's. A funeral Mass will be held 11:00 am Saturday at Our Lady of Good Counsel RC Church, Pompton Plains.
