Katherine Young Obituary
Katherine was born to Jane (Colfax) and the late Robert Young. She was raised in Pompton Plains alongside her sister, Abigail.
A proud graduate of Pequannock Township High School, Katherine went on to earn her associate's degree from the County College of Morris, followed by a Bachelor's degree from Ramapo College. Katherine also served with the Pequannock Township Fire Department, Engine Company #1.
Katherine had a deep love for her family and friends and cherished the time spent with her community. Her heart was especially full when surrounded by her cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She is survived by her mother, Jane Young; her sister, Abigail Miller and her husband, Kevin; and their daughter, Cecilia. Katherine is also survived by many cousins, aunts and uncles. She was predeceased by her father, Robert Young.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains. There will be a Funeral Service at 1:30 PM to conclude the visitation. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the First Reformed Church Memo: Katherine Young Memorial Fund or to Pequannock Fire Department #1.
