Anthony Potter Obituary
Publish in a newspaper
21, 2025, at the age of 62. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service
celebrating A J will be held at 6:00 pm, Monday, July 28, 2025, at the Flint
Eastside Church of the Nazarene, 1829 Delaware St., at the corner of Franklin.
The service will be lead by Pastor Jeff Rolfe, Eastside Mission director. If desired
contributions can be made in Anthony's name to the Flint Eastside Mission.
Anthony was born November 5, 1962, the youngest of 4 children in the Potter
family. He grew up in Flint, and graduated from Flint Central High School in
1980. He worked in various jobs, including driving a fork-lift truck, painting &
decorating and rough carpentry.
He enjoyed artistic skills, especially lettering, drawing logos and making hand
drawn birthday cards. As a musician he liked playing guitar all of his life and was
the lead singer in his band, Ruff Enuff 1990-2002. He liked composing music
lyrics and melodies. His favorite music artists included Bob Seger, Ted Nugent,
Cinderella, Motley Crue, Aerosmith, Miranda Lambert and Shania Twain.
He enjoyed playing cards and dice games with his friends. He enjoyed cooking,
especially the Potato Soup he often made. As a sports fan he enjoyed NASCAR,
especially rooting for Dale Earnhardt, Jr., #88. In NFL Football he rooted for the
Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions. He also followed the Detroit Tigers.
Anthony is predeceased by his father and mother, William and Dorothy Potter
and two older brothers Bill and Richard Potter. He is survived by his two sons,
Aaron Mattson and Cameron Livesay; his sister Jeanine White, Nephews and
nieces Ryan (Lorena) White, David (Kristi) White, Claire Bower, Inde (Crystal)
Potter, Mindy Potter, and Kayla Potter.
AJ's family wishes to thank our extended family and friends for your support and
prayers , Hope Network for their caring help and services a nd a special thank you
to AJ's closest friends who stood by him and helped however they could during
his most difficult times in recent years

Many great times playing basketball in the Heddy´s backyard. Also played music with him off and on. We got together every Saturday for over a year forming K.P.G.(Kearsley Park Groove) lot of good times. Rest easy in Heaven brother!
