Anthony Roberts Obituary

Published by Legacy on Sep. 11, 2025.
Anthony John "Tony" Roberts, 52, passed away on July 14, 2025, in Gainesville, Florida. Born on December 31, 1972, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Tony lived a life marked by creativity, dedication, and deep love for his family. Tony was best known for his remarkable talent and passion as a tattoo artist. Over the course of a 30-year career in tattooing, he left an indelible mark-both literally and figuratively-on countless individuals. His artistry was not only his profession but also his greatest joy. Tattooing was more than ink and skin to Tony; it was a form of storytelling and self-expression that he embraced with heart and soul. Tony found inspiration in the details of life.

Those who knew Tony will remember him as goofy and funny-a man who could light up a room with laughter. He wore his heart on his sleeve and never hesitated to show how much he cared. Protective by nature, he kept those he loved close and made sure they always felt safe and supported.

Tony's greatest pride was his family. He is survived by his daughters Zoey Roberts, Jaszmine Roberts, Madison, his son Junior Roberts, his grandchildren Brielle Chaires, and Hudson Gertsema. As well as his sister Cindy Roberts Whiteside. His love for them was unwavering, and they remained at the center of everything he did.

He was preceded in death by wife Christina Roberts, his father Spencer Roberts and mother Sandra Wyant.

Tony's legacy lives on through the art he created, the stories he shared through ink and imagination, and the deep bonds he formed with those around him. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
