Staten Island, New York. Grew up in South Beach and settled in Grasmere. Significant other to Colleen Leardi. Son of the late Carlo Seneca and Carmela (Catanese) Seneca. Father to son, Carlo and wife, Dr. Jessica Seneca. Grandfather to grandchildren Leah, Carlo, Anthony and Raine.
Brother to sister Carleen Buono and the late Claire Khorsandi and the late Marie Cangro. Brother-in-law to Fred Buono and Dr. Manootcher Khorsandi and the late Jerome Cangro. Uncle to nephews Dr. Jan, Dr. Dara and Dr. Christopher Khorsandi and nieces Jenna and Alexa Buono. Loved his past deceased pet, Diesel, the Good Dragon. Longtime member of Kiwanis.
Anthony Seneca, the third generation to operate the family business C&A Seneca Construction was named after his grandfather who started the company back in 1926. Anthony has been in the business for over 50 years and grew the company from modest cabinet makers and residential construction on Staten Island to large scale commercial building and development throughout the five boroughs.
Anthony built dozens of prominent office buildings, strip malls, retail centers as well as over 100 rental properties he owned and developed himself. One of his proudest professional accomplishments was when Anthony met and created a decades-long-lasting relationship with the city agency for child services and built dozens of day care centers for them and all the children they housed and protected.
Anthony along with his son, Carlo Seneca, the fourth generation to own and operate C&A Seneca into Manhattan where they have become the most sought-after Hospitality Builder in NYC, building the hottest hotels and nightclubs frequented by the biggest celebrities in the world. Some notable projects include the Dream Downtown Hotel, The Chatwal Hotel, The Gansevoort Hotel, The Time Hotel, The Night Hotel, The Presidential Hotel, as well as all four of the Moxy Hotels, including Moxy Times Square, Moxy Chelsea, Moxy East 11th Streetand recently completed Moxy Lower East Side.
Even while considering all his professional accomplishments, Anthony always believed his biggest triumph in life was with his family. His good fortune to be a father and grandfather to his son and four grandchildren and creating the fifth generation; passing down to them what was instilled in him by his father and grandfather was what life was all about for Anthony Seneca.
Anthony attended McKee Technical HS. He served in the U.S. Navy. Anthony sadly passed away on 01/11/23 and a long-term illness.
