Anthony "Chris" Silvas, a loving husband, cherished son, devoted brother, and proud uncle, passed away unexpectedly on March 18, 2025, in Houston, Texas. He was born on January 3, 1967, in Charlotte, Michigan, Chris grew to become a bright light in the lives of those who knew him.
Graduating from Potterville High School in 1985, Chris pursued his passion for art and design, later earning a degree from Kendall College of Art and Design. His career flourished as he worked in graphic design, advertising, mapping, and architecture. All fields in which his creativity and talent thrived. Chris was known for his artistic abilities, which were evident in his love for painting, drawing, and creating graphic images. He had an innate gift for expressing himself through his art, and he often found joy in spending time outdoors, hiking, and appreciating the beauty of nature.
Beyond his artistic pursuits, Chris was a gentle and caring soul who possessed a generous spirit. He relished in spending quality time with his beloved wife, Mary Rose, whether enjoying a meal together or embarking on new adventures as they traveled. His love for family was profound, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Chris is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Rose Silvas; his parents, Pete and Maria Silvas; his brother, Peter and sister-in-law, Bridgette Silvas; and his treasured nieces and nephews: Kyle, Montana, Willow, Elianna, Peter Jr., Elisha, Zipporah, Bridgette, Mackenna, and Tessa. His passing leaves a void that will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday March 24, 2025, at 11 A.M. at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Dwight Ezop celebrating. A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 23, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Burkhead-Green-Kilgo Funeral Home and one hour prior to Mass on Monday at the church. Burial will take place at Maple Hill Cemetery.
