ORLANDO, FL
Mr. Anthony G. Siriani, Sr., of Orlando, FL, age 90, passed away Friday, November 20, 2015, at the VA Community Living Center in Lake Nona, FL. He was born in Utica, NY, on September 4, 1925. In 1943, he enlisted in the US Marine Corps and was assigned to Marine Air Group (MAG) 32 at Cherry Point, NC. In WWII, he saw action during campaigns for the liberation of the Philippines. After the war, he joined the Utica City Fire Department, retiring in 1971. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Mary (Talerico) Siriani; his son, Anthony G. Siriani, Jr.; and his sisters, Theresa (Tess) Milano and Mary Lasek. He is survived by his sons, John (Anne) Siriani, of Orlando, Michael, of Granby, CT, and Christopher, of Agawam, MA. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Matthew (Stephanie), Justin (Saori), Kristen, Nicholas, Alex, Lauren and Mark; and two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Matthew, Jr.; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Tony was a Sacristan/Eucharistic Minister at Holy Family Catholic Church in Orlando and a volunteer for the VA Medical Center in Winter Park, FL, for many years. He will always be remembered as a wonderful father, grandfather and uncle, as well as his numerous acts of kindness to friends and family. His spirit and sense of humor were infectious to those who knew him. He will be dearly missed by those who loved him. A special thanks to the remarkable staff at the Orlando VA Community Living Center, especially Cynthia, Juliet, Angelita, and Jim, and all the other caregivers and support staff, for taking care of Tony. Words cannot describe how thankful we are for you. Visitation services will be held Tuesday, November 24th from 5 to 7 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Gotha, FL. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, November 25th at 10:30 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church and burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your local chapter of the Disabled American Veterans.

Tony and his family were are neighbors on Fairwood Drive in the City of Utica, NY. Tony was a great neighbor and my son Paul became very good friends with his three sons. Tony was always a friendly person with a great sense of humor and he and his family were what good neighbors should be. Our sincerest condolences to his family and may God Bless Tony on his journey to Heaven.
