Anthony Dwayne Sundgaard

Anthony Dwayne Michael Sundgaard, 44, of Alexandria, MN, passed away October 12th, 2025, at University of Minnesota East Bank.

Born to Dwayne and Victoria (Johnston) Sundgaard on July 17th, 1981, Anthony grew up in the Alexandria, MN area. He attended Jefferson High School while being raised by his paternal grandparents after his mother disappeared when he was a young boy. After a tough upbringing, Anthony traveled a lot. He utilized his street smarts and mechanical skills in every job he had. One of his favorite jobs was working on bridges with his beloved family.

In 2015, Anthony met the love of his life, Alannah (Minkkinen) Sundgaard, and they married in 2018. Anthony's children were everything to him.

Anthony loved the outdoors, whether it was four wheeling, fishing or helping out on family farms. He was a gear-head and had an intense passion for cars, ATVs, and speed.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Victoria, who he loved and always wished to know.

Anthony is survived by his wife, Alannah; children, Elliott, Emmett and an estranged daughter, an estranged father; brother, Troy Sundgaard; uncle, Darren Sundgaard who was like a brother; and many other family, friends, and loved ones.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
