Anthony J. Tolentino, a beloved son, father, grandfather, and partner, left this world on October 19, 2025, at the age of 79, in West Islip, New York. Born on November 10, 1945, in Manhattan, he lived a life enriched by his passions, family, and the affectionate animals he so adored.
Anthony was a man who truly knew how to embrace joy. He had a profound love for food, savoring every bite and exploring culinary delights throughout his life. His fondness for animals was equally immense; he was a staunch dog lover who opened his heart and home to many furry companions. His passion extended to breeding Great Danes, where he found a special connection with these gentle giants. Additionally, he had a deep-seated love for horses and cherished moments spent horseback riding.
Anthony's warmth and generosity were reflected in the love he shared with his family. He is survived by his former wife Barbara Tolentino, who he shares three children with: son Louis (Beth-Ann), daughters Christine (Anthony) and Jeanine, and cherished grandson Nicholas. His bond with his half-brother Louis was a source of joy and support. In his life, Anthony found unwavering love and companionship in Irene Fatigati, who brought happiness to his life for 34 years. Alongside Irene, he had immense love for Irene's sons, Gregory (Christina) and their children Lisa, Ella, and Giovanni, and Christopher (Stephanie) and their children Zoey and Riley.
Having faced the loss of significant family members, including his daughter Jeanine, siblings Lucille and Louis, and his parents, Louie and Jenny, Anthony embodied resilience and kindness, always remembering those he loved with a fond heart. His spirit and legacy will be lovingly carried on by his living family.
To honor Anthony's remarkable life, visitation will be held on October 23, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home, located at 1701 Deer Park Ave, Deer Park, NY. A Mass celebrating his life will take place on October 24, 2025, at 10:45 AM at St. Matthew RC Church, located at 35 North Service Road, Dix Hills, NY.
As we bid farewell to Anthony J. Tolentino, we celebrate a man who lived passionately and loved deeply, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those fortunate enough to know him.
