Anthony C. "Tac" Venini, 69, of Claymont, DE, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born to Anthony N. and Rita DePrince Venini in Philadelphia, PA.
Anthony graduated from Upper Darby High School, Class of 1974. After high school, Tac proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, where he served in Japan and the Philippines. Tac worked as a Union Electrician with Local 98, retiring in 2017.
Tac loved gardening and was renowned for growing big, delicious tomatoes, peppers, and fruits. He also enjoyed surf fishing at the beach in Lewes, DE. Tac was a kind and generous man, always ready to help others. He shared his homegrown vegetables and fruits with family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, and even strangers. Most of all, Tac cherished time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren, Luke and Morgan.

I served in the Marine Corps with Tony and we shared a lot of laughs picking at each other. My South Carolina dialect amused him to no end. He frequently talked of being tremendously found of his mother.

I met Tony through my husband. He was a big man with a big voice and a huge heart! The first time we met, he spoke/treated me as if he'd known me for years. He made me feel like family, the moment I met him. He had no filter and was never shy about saying anything. He was as real as they come. He always was most happiest, when around friends and family.

His family was everything to him. You just knew it when you saw him interact with them. He could poke fun at you, yell at you, or give you a shove, but you knew it was he way of saying, you mean something to me.

His heart was as big as he was; always giving to others or offering to help in some way. When George and I last visited him, we told him we had just found out that are bank accounts were hacked, so we had to put a hold on everything. As Tony was lying in his bed, the 1st thing he said was "Do you need money?". Just typing this brings tears to my eyes. His kindness was and will be unmatched in my eyes forever.

You will be forever missed, but remembered always. RIP!
