Anthony M. Watson

Anthony Martin Watson was born on July 17, 1953, to the late James Joseph and Rebecca Mae Watson in Pascagoula, MS. He entered eternal rest on December 23, 2025, at Terrebonne General Health System in Houma, LA surrounded by his loved ones. He was the eldest of seven children. Anthony had a love for hunting, he was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, and most important a faithful servant of God.

He graduated from Our Lady of Victories High School in Pascagoula, MS in 1971. He went on to work at Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula, MS as a shipfitter supervisor. Anthony relocated with his family to Virginia Beach, VA where he worked as chief engineer over fabrications at Moon Engineering for 27 years. Lastly, he relocated to Thibodaux, LA to work at Avondale Shipyard in Westwego, LA as a Quality Assurance Manager until his retirement in 2014.

He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Apostle church of Pascagoula, MS in his younger years. Later in life, Anthony became a faithful member of Beacon Light Church of Houma, LA and was ordained as a deacon there in October 2011.

He was preceded in death by his parents James Joseph Watson and Rebecca Mae Williams- Watson, his grandparents Joe Williams and Eula Williams of Calhoun, AL and George Watson Sr. and Louise Elly Watson of Pascagoula, MS, granddaughter Se'Dhari S. Watson-Person of Ocean Springs, MS, and grandson Joshua Stewart of Greensboro, NC. As well as his in-laws, Frank Parker and Elander Hyde Parker of Thibodaux, LA.

He leaves to cherish his memories with his loving wife Seneca A. Watson of Thibodaux, LA. Three sons Jamarcus (Latrice) Watson of Semmes, AL, Myron (Tenisha) Stewart of Greensboro, NC, Joshua (Emmanda) Watson of Ocean Springs, MS, two daughters Antoinette Watson Pierce and Takiya (Lonnie) Bivins both of Ocean Springs, MS, and one bonus daughter is April Smith of Baton Rouge, LA. His brothers Dr. Ted (Sirrinthia) Watson of Solid Rock International Ministries of Jackson, MS, Murray (Linda) Watson, and James Nathan of Moss Point, MS, Terrence (Charlene) Nathan of Ocean Springs, MS; his sisters Barbara Ann Watson Pinkney of D'Iberville, MS, Debra (Terry) Gresham of Theodore, AL, Brenda (Luke) Cook and Deidra Simmons both of Ocean Springs, MS, Janet (Ray) Gandy and Sharon Hudson both of Moss Point, MS. He is survived by his brother in-laws Dwight Campbell, of Houston, TX, Carl Davis of Georgia, Alexander Davis of La Place, LA and Clyde Parker of Thibodaux, LA. His sister-in-law Gwendolyn Bernard of Levittown, PA. One aunt Louise Perkins of Gautier, MS.
