ZIOBRO, Anthony – of Clio, age 76, died on Friday, February 28, 2025, at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church – 400 N. Saginaw St., in Montrose. Rev. Fr. Brian Lenz officiating. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Wednesday from 6PM until 7PM, and at the church on Thursday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM.
Anthony was born on April 27, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Edward and Mary (Barrack) Ziobro. He graduated from Bloom Twp. High School and became a Journeyman Ironworker in 1979. In January of 1967, Anthony married Linda Valois, and they enjoyed many years together before her passing on March 12, 2021. He worked as an Ironworker with the Ironworkers Local 25 for many years before retiring in 2002. He was a faithful member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Montrose and enjoyed working on cars.
Surviving are: Children: Tina (Joel) Siebertz, Leanne (Dan) Benedict, Tony (Vanessa) Ziobro, Bernadette (Edward) Ritter, Mary (Steven) Olson, and Denise (Andrew) Barber; Grandchildren: Joel Jr., Maegan, Luke, Derek and Marissa Siebertz, Jordan, Paul and Brandi Benedict, James (Jessica) and Joseph Ziobro, Andrew and Ben Ritter, Christopher Koon, Nicholas, Nathan and Elizabeth Olson, Mollie and Jack Barber; Great Grandchildren: Adelyn and James; Siblings: Vivian (Michael) Michalski, Veronica (Michael) Wrobel, and Gary (Moira) Benard; 13 nieces and nephews; 19 great nieces and nephews. Anthony was also preceded in death by: Brothers: Paul Ziobro in 2014, and Edward Ziobro in 2006; Stepfather, Ralph Benard in 2000. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to his caregiver, Sarah, who cared for Tony as if he were her own family-and he loved her just as much in return.
