Mr. Bucan was a good man and a great teacher. He didn't put up with any nonsense but if you wanted to learn and were willing to put in the effort he was in your corner. My senior project was a fully operational log splitter that's still working 40+ yrs later. I believe there are untold people who started on their career path with Mr. B. We remained friends long after high school and his love and devotion to Shirl and their kids and grandkids was obvious. We moved south in 2000 and contact was Christmas letters and the occasional note about a design or project. But I always considered Tony a mentor. Our sympathy to his family and loved ones.
