Anton L. Mogensen

Anton was born on October 16, 1925 and passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2018. Anton was a resident of Baxter, Minnesota at the time of passing. He attended Brainerd Schools, graduating in 1943. He was drafted into U.S. Naval military service and continued to serve in the Navy for 24 years, 9 months, retiring with the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer as an air traffic controller. His memberships included the Masonic Lodge, the Order of the Eastern Star, First Lutheran Church, American Legion Post #255, the Moose Lodge and the Elks Lodge. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at First Lutheran Church in Brainerd with Rev. John Stiles officiating. Masonic memorial service will be held at 9:15 a.m. followed by visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Military honors by the American Legion and VFW Color Guard following the funeral service. Burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery at Camp Ripley. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may contribute memorials in Tony's name to First Lutheran Church.
