Koltiska, Antonette "Tonia"

Age 91, of Warrendale, formerly of Valencia and Glassport, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. Wife of the late Robert Baron and Edward Koltiska; Loving mother of Bob (Jeanine), Susan (the late Geoffrey), Lisa, and Lori (Edward); Proud grandmother of Justin, Ethan (Ellen), Rachael (Will), Elliott, Nina (Zach), Natalie (Cody), Ryan, Nicholas, and Jenna; Great-grandmother of Liam, Eloise, Lucy, Isla, Andrew, and Seth; Loving sister of Joe, Tina, and Maria; Tonia is also survived by many loving relatives and friends. Friends will be received on Friday from 6-8PM at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME of CRANBERRY, 2678 Rochester Rd., Cranberry Twp., PA 16066. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday 10AM in St. Alexis Church (St. Aidan Parish) 10090 Old Perry Hwy., Wexford, PA 15090.

Tonia, aka Nonna, will be remembered as hardworking, strong-willed, and resilient. She was sometimes blunt to a fault, yet deeply loving, often showing her care through her extraordinary cooking.

Born and raised in Santa Flavia, Sicily, surviving the hardships of World War II, she carried with her deep pride in her Sicilian heritage throughout her life. She overcame many challenges with remarkable determination. After immigrating to the United States, she built a life rooted in perseverance and devotion to her family. Widowed at a young age, she raised four children on her own, instilling in them the values of family first, education, and hard work.

Following her husband's passing, she began her career with the National Steelworkers Old-Timers Foundation. Her first position was managing a senior center in Duquesne, Pennsylvania. Through her dedication and hard work, she went on to oversee all of the senior centers in Allegheny County. Her professional journey was a source of great pride, as she grew from never having worked outside the home to leading programs for the elderly that touched so many lives.

She loved to travel, exploring destinations around the world with her second husband, and found joy in needlepoint, reading, and her cooking became her greatest expression of love. Above all, she was the proud matriarch of a growing family-four children, nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, with another on the way.

Her journey from a small Sicilian village to a full life in America is a testament to her courage, strength, and enduring love for her family.
