Antonia Velarde Mesa was born October 11, 1935, in Colorado City, Texas. She passed away June 20, 2025, in Bakersfield, California.
Antonia attended Taft College and was a Site Supervisor for the HeadStart Program. Antonia was also a member of the Red Hat Society with her Shafter High classmates. She was a member of the Stockdale Moose Lodge since 2009. She enjoyed listening to friends sing karaoke.
Antonia was preceded in death by her parents, Alberto Velarde and Francisca Garcia - Velarde, husband, Pablo Mesa Sr.
She was blessed with 5 children, Sabrina Mesa, Mary Jane Lopez (Danny Lopez), Pablo Mesa (Theresa), David Mesa (Barbara), Jerry Mesa (Tammie). Along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Antonia, please visit our Tree Store.
