Antonio Acosta Jr. Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 18, 2025.
Mr. Antonio Acosta Jr., 66, passed away peacefully at his home in Deltona, Florida, on November 14, 2025.

Born on May 4, 1959, in Paterson, New Jersey, Antonio spent his formative years in Puerto Rico and the Bronx, New York. His life journey later took him to Omaha, Nebraska, before he eventually settled in Deltona with his children.

A proud graduate of DeWitt Clinton High School in 1977, Antonio continued to pursue education throughout his life. In 2004, he earned a degree in Information Systems from Bellevue University-an achievement that reflected both his intellectual curiosity and dedication to personal growth. His professional career was marked by success and innovation; he worked with Fortune 500 companies, including IBM, where he applied his passion for technology and problem-solving.

Antonio also served honorably in the United States Marine Corps. The discipline and values instilled during his military service became a foundation for the integrity and resilience he demonstrated throughout his life.

Known for his sharp mind and quick wit, Antonio had a remarkable talent for debate and was admired by those who knew him as one of the best conversationalists around. He had a natural affinity for numbers and an analytical mind that made him an exceptional problem solver and enabled him to bring creativity and precision to all he did. He had a deep love of music and instilled this love into both his children. He was a gifted cook that brought joy to many fortunate enough to sit as his table. In his daughters' words and to all who knew him, Antonio was unapologetically himself.

Antonio held a deep pride in his Puerto Rican heritage. He had the pleasure of traveling to the island with his son in 2015-a meaningful journey that strengthened familial bonds and cultural connection. His devotion to his family was unwavering; he maintained a cherished tradition of speaking with his father every Saturday morning without fail.

He was a devoted father to Antonio A. Acosta and Abigail C. Acosta. He is also survived by his mother, Fe Fernandez; father, Antonio Acosta Sr.; as well as numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and cousins who mourn his passing.

Antonio's hardworking spirit, vibrant sense of humor, and enduring resilience left an indelible mark on all who knew him. His laughter filled rooms with warmth and created memories that will be treasured for generations.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire strength in the days and years ahead.
